How dirty or dangerous of a job is sterile processing?

I have a background in veterinary technology, where I am often responsbile for sterilizing and packaging vet. surgery instruments. I enjoy this task and am therefore considering sterile processing. However, although I know I can handle animal blood and bodily fluids, I am somewhat aprehensive about handling large amounts of human blood and other waste products. As a sterile processing tech am I really going to handle large amounts of blood or other things like vomit, feces, ect ? I guess my fear is that I will be handed buckets full of vomit, blood, feces, or body parts along with the instruments. What should I expect?
