Calculus Question - Need istance?

In a hospital there are two corridors meeting at right angles. The first has width 1 meter, the second has width 2 meters. Hospital staff have to move along thin gl tubes which have to be carried horizontally. What is the longest gl tube they will be able to get around this corner without breaking it? ume that the gl tube does not bend before breaking.
