Do we need something as exotic as a comet or Judgement Day to have an Apocalypse?

Your answer reminds me of myself about 10 years ago; I used to worry so much about magnetic shifts, tectonics, etc. Now I figure that only God knows how it's all going to end, so I do my best to do my part to be an environmental steward and try to think positively.
