Why do people ask the dumbest questions on Yahoo! answers?

I don't think it is laziness, I think these people like the sense of connection they get when their questions are answered by often more than one person.For people who have no-one to ask these seemingly innane questions, the results must be gratifying.I will answer questions that are easily googled in the hope that the person that asked the question gets the feeling that someone cares about their question and them.Some people don't know how easy it is to get facts from google, some wont know how to google, some may not like "talking" to a computer but feel at ease when they know it is real people that will answer them.At the end of the day it makes no difference...don't answer if it annoys you.
